**What does it mean that SANDchain is zk-powered and Ethereum aligned?**

SANDchain is secured by Ethereum and powered by zkSync’s prover technology, ensuring low fees, fast finality, and Ethereum-level security. For developers and creators, this means they can deploy dApps, contracts, and campaigns with full EVM compatibility while enjoying a chain purpose-built for creator economies.

**How does the points system work?**

* SANDpoints: Earned across the broader ecosystem through staking, swapping, liquidity, supporting creators, and social engagement. They reflect global reputation and contribution. Build fan reputation and increase share of ecosystem rewards, and drive leaderboard rankings. 
* Creator Points: Earned when fans engage with a creator’s quests, UGC campaigns, and ERC-20C tokens that link directly to a creator’s potential token. Can be distributed, purchased with $SAND, or burned for token allocations. They reflect loyalty within a specific creator economy. 

**Do I need to understand crypto to use the products on SANDchain?**

While it’s better to have a basic understanding of crypto, SANDchain is designed to feel like Web2; you can create a new wallet by using your email ID, connect your social handle to your profile in the wallet, and participate in the activities in the creator nation. 

**Is SANDchain accessible globally?**

As a decentralized platform built on Ethereum Layer 2, anyone with an internet connection and a crypto wallet can interact with the network.

However, like all major global crypto projects, participation may be restricted in specific countries due to local financial regulations or international sanctions. Our goal is to be available everywhere possible, subject to legal compliance.

For instance, the Sequence Wallet is not available in Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Belarus, Burma (Myanmar), Central African Republic, China, Cuba, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Macao, Mali, Moldova, Morocco, Nepal, Nicaragua, North Korea, Qatar, Russian Federation, Somalia, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Ukraine, Venezuela, Yemen, Zimbabwe

The mainnet for SANDChain is scheduled to go live in the first half of 2026 (H1 2026).
